Breast Lift in Switzerland

Sagging breasts, or breast ptosis, can have a profound impact on a woman’s well-being. A breast lift can lift and firm the breasts, restoring a harmonious shape and a higher position.

Introduction + Causes & Risk Factors

One of the most distressing conditions for women is breast ptosis: sagging breasts that have lost their volume and firmness. The ‘pencil test’ can confirm ptosis: if a pencil rests under the breast without support, ptosis is present.

TYPES OF BREAST PTOSIS

The different degrees of ptosis

Most visual abnormalities can be corrected with treatment during the early years of life. Our ophthalmologists are trained to welcome and examine children in the best possible conditions.

Grade 1 ptosis

The areola is located at the level of the inframammary fold. Correction via a periareolar lift or a vertical incision alone. Excellent results with minimal scarring.

Grade 2 ptosis

The areola is located below the inframammary fold. Requires a lift with a vertical scar and possibly a horizontal scar. The most commonly used technique.

Grade 3 ptosis

The areola points downwards. Requires a full inverted T technique. Optimal correction with well-concealed scars.

Mastopexy with implants

When ptosis is accompanied by a lack of volume, the lift can be combined with a breast augmentation during the same operation.
